I love the idea of a Snarby gun, but the amount of Snarbolax-themed items is getting a bit outta hand, and I'd like for there to be more variety available for gunners than just "AP, SENT, AND SNARBGUN," all of which would hypothetically function the same, but with different damage types. This idea gives more use to the Blaster's mechanics, along with give people a mobile piercing gun that is NOT a Snarbolax gun. The mechanic is then simply unique to the Blaster line, which itself is rarely used due to other guns outclassing it in function. This mechanic is rarely used, only really being used by the various status-dealing Blasters that don't go above 1*s. Fight da mechanics will be the same as the standard Blaster the only difference being that it will fire nails, and will deal piercing. Antigua changes from Piercing, and Sealed Sword changes from Normal, Autogun has TWO piercing lines and one normal line, the Cutter series has NO piercing lines, etc and etc. Just because weapons in one branched family stay the same damage, doesn't mean a new damage type cannot be introduced. ![]() If there's ANYTHING I'd like to see taken outta this suggestion, it'd be this. This one would be it's own standalone weapon, and would definitely fit in better with the other "tools as weapons" that populates Tier 1. "Once thought to only be useful in construction projects, builders were ecstatic that they could construct dead Wolvers with this baby." People want a more mobile piercing gun, Blaster line could use some love, and then it had hit me: NAIL GUNS. "The perfect gun for gun and tool enthusiasts, it gives the best of both worlds and gives monsters a world of hurt." "Modified from a Super Blaster, this gun has been known to really stick it to their targets - with it being very sharp and precise nails." This line deviates from the Super Blaster, turning the beloved sidearm into a beloved tool! Poor fellow, so unused and unloved, and for such an interestin' design of guns, too! So what do? MAKE an alchemy line for it, of course! Introducing yet ANOTHER idea from my giant chest of not-too-bad ideas, I present the NAIL GUN LINE The following damage values represent the weapon at its completed level, without any UV or bonus from other equipment, and are listed as a range found from the first to last floor of each stratum.Every standard issue Cobalt gear seems to have SOME kind of alternate alchemy path to split from.save for the Blaster line. The recoil from the shot will push the user back 2/3 of a square. The projectile moves at the same speed as the basic attack, but will reach up to 9 squares away. There is no recoil when using the basic attack and the user can move at approximately half speed while firing.įires a bigger ball of energy which detonates on contact and will inflict moderate knockback on monsters. The projectiles move at medium speed and the user may fire up to 3 shots before reloading. ![]() Alchemy Path Super Blaster's alchemy pathįires a ball of energy up to 8 squares away, and will inflict minor knockback on contact with monsters. Note: When crafting using a bound item as a precursor, the upgraded item will also be bound.
